SESSION INFO: Fairfax Journalist Konrad Marshall was part of the Richmond Football Club furniture in 2016 and 2017. The result of his "fly on the wall" approach is his bestselling book "Yellow & Black". It is a book that puts paid to all that clich and caricature, and takes us deep inside the club and the people in it. It's a fascinating account of the Tigers rise to the ultimate success.

Marshall had full, all-but unfettered, access, the run of the club; and that openness is indicative of the mature mindset he encounters and documented. Sports Writers Festival Curator Francis Leach will lead an enthralling discussion with Konrad drawing on his observations. No Tiger will want to miss this.

SESSION INFO: Legendary Sports Writer Martin Flanagan says that they combined to win a flag that came from nowhere and they're an extraordinary bunch behind closed doors. The Western Bulldogs were a club with no luck, no stars, no right to win and no culture of success. The Bulldogs two guiding spirits, captain Bob Murphy and Coach Luke Beveridge welcomed Martin behind closed doors to tell their yarn. Martin Flanagan in discussion with Sports Writers Festival Curator Francis Leach reflects on his book and the magic he unearthed chronicling the fairy-tale AFL Premiership winning Western Bulldogs of 2016.
